Resting in the Now

Sink down into the present like a bubble bath

My beloved child, rest in your limitations. Although I am omnipotent, and my existence spans from past to future across all eternity, you are finite. Your power is limited to the present moment. Don't spread yourself too thin. When you prioritize your energies and worries for the past and future, you drain your true power-source in the present. I am the Great I AM, not the Great I Was or the Great I Will Be (Exodus 3:14).

Take the present moment and sink down into it with me like a bubble bath. I can always be found in the present. Focus intently on a beautiful sight, sound, or sensation in real time. Take longer than might seem necessary to notice all the sights, sounds, and sensations around you. Stay there with me, and you will find peace and comfort.

"Do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own" (Matthew 6:34).

Cease Striving and Swim Free

Consider this: If you truly believed that
resting in Me was the most powerful act of obedience,
how would your life transform?

Freedom From the Hamster Wheel of Life

Is this your life?

Are you weary from the relentless pursuit of doing more, achieving more, and being more? Many of My beloved children are on the brink of exhaustion, caught in a cycle of overcommitment, sleepless nights, and emotional turmoil. You have heard it said, “If the Enemy can’t keep you from doing good things, he’ll get you doing too many good things.”

It’s a common belief that true obedience means trying harder and relentlessly working for Me. But, “anyone who enters My rest also rests from his own work, just as I did from Mine” (Hebrews 4:10). And John 6:29 declares, “This is the only work I want from you: Believe in the one I have sent.”It’s a common belief that true obedience means trying harder and relentlessly working for Me. But, “anyone who enters My rest also rests from his own work, just as I did from Mine” (Hebrews 4:10). And John 6:29 declares, “This is the only work I want from you: Believe in the one I have sent.”

I dwell within your heart, but do you ever wonder what I am doing there? I long to see through your eyes, touch through your hands, and love through your will and emotions. I yearn to live My life through your heart and body. I want you to be a window through which My Light shines, drawing others to Me with love.

Rest is not a passive activity; it requires surrender. It is the willingness to abandon self-effort and live by

Break Free: From Caterpillar Soup to Rainbow Wings

Have you ever felt as if your life had become liquified, messy, utterly unrecognizable. It's when disaster feels like too polite a word. When everything you thought you knew dissolves into a thick, swirling dread. But even in that swirling, soupy chaos, something miraculous is happening. Renewal isn't just on the way; it's already at work. And I am there, right in the thick of it, stirring the pot.

The righteous man may have many troubles, but the Lord delivers him from them all (Psalm 34:19). Note, it says ALL. It's not just a nice sentiment; it's a promise I keep.

Think about the butterfly; that incredible, impossible transformation. It’s a perfect picture of what I do. The caterpillar doesn't just sprout wings; it goes through a radical, almost violent, breakdown. It actually becomes a liquified worm. But within that “caterpillar soup,” there are a few remaining particles, core pieces that refuse to be destroyed. These particles become wings, eyes, and antennae. And that's the truth about you too. No matter how devastating your circumstances, the essence of who you are—the core of you—the part of you that is one with My Holy Spirit—is indestructible. "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new" (2 Corinthians 5:17).

The Surrender: Finding Peace in the Abyss

That gut-wrenching moment when you feel the ground giving way ... the fear of falling into the abyss. What if, instead of fighting, you simply let go?

We often perceive the abyss as a place of moral failure, sin, or utter ruin. We scramble, we claw, we exhaust ourselves trying to avoid the inevitable plunge. But what if the very thing we fear is the gateway to something profound?

I invite you to consider a radical shift: embrace the abyss. Stop the struggle. Allow yourself to fall. Discover that in the depths of that perceived darkness, you’ll find Me. Not as a judge, but as a redeemer, waiting with open arms.

This isn’t about expecting the worst, but about surrendering to the possibility. It’s about releasing the fear that holds you captive. Picture this: even in the darkest scenario, I am there, working all things for your good. By surrendering, you strip fear of its power.

In the heart of the abyss, you'll discover serenity, a profound peace born from letting go. You’ll find My unconditional acceptance, a love that transcends your perceived flaws and failures.

Take that leap of faith. Trust that I am here, waiting to catch you. In the surrender, you’ll find true rest.

So, when you feel the pull of the abyss, remember: it's not a place of destruction, but a sanctuary of surrender. Embrace the fall and discover the peace that awaits.

Listen. For the Silence has much to say.

Amidst the ceaseless stream of technology, the allure of virtual relationships, and the rush of daily obligations, it can become challenging to attune yourself to My quiet voice (1 Kings 19:11-12).

I deeply understand your profound desire to seek solace and connection in this bustling world. I empathize with the overwhelming noise and constant distractions that often hinder your ability to find peace and hear My gentle whispers within you.

But when you join Me in taking a step back from the abundance of activities and stimuli, you can find the stillness you yearn for. It is through simplicity and the art of being present that you can allow yourself to truly listen and perceive the Messages that I long to impart to you. May you find tranquility amidst the noise and may your journey toward a deeper connection with Me be blessed with serenity and clarity (Psalm 46:1).

It takes courage, for in the silence comes the hunger, woundedness, anger, and pain you are striving to stuff down or escape with the noise, the technology, the “too much.” But only in the silence can you heal. In this gentle oasis, I will rejuvenate and revive your weary soul, so that the brilliance of My presence can shine brightly through your eyes, your touch, and your very existence. May you find peace and healing in the stillness that surrounds you.

May you find tranquility amidst the noise and may your journey toward a deeper connection with Me be blessed with serenity and clarity.

Listen. For the Silence has much to say

God Sings Over You

I am living all around you, like the air you breathe. I am your mighty savior. I delight in you with gladness. I will calm all your fears with my love. I rejoice over you with singing in celebration of your existence (based on Zephaniah 3:17 NLT).

In your mind, picture me holding you gently, like a mother cradling her child, singing a tender lullaby. Embrace this image, feel the warmth, and find comfort in it. You are “the Beloved of God.” This is your identity; the very essence of who you are; your core self. Do not believe the voices that seek to undermine your worth and create doubt. My love for you is what makes you unique.

You are safe in my embrace. Trust in my unwavering love and let it be the anchor for your soul.

The One Thing

Jesus might say:

"You are troubled and distracted by so many things, but only one thing is necessary," (Luke 10:38-42) and that is communing intimately with me.  You don't need to prepare anything to come to me. Stop slaving to serve me. Come, sit here by me, and open the ears of your spirit, for I have much to tell you. Great and unsearchable secrets (Jeremiah 33:3), love, and encouragement ... challenges and even correction. But the things I say will increase your faith, and your ability to love. Indeed, the things you hear from me create your faith, for faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of Christ (Romans 10:17). And that, my child, is all you need to find rest from your anxieties, distractions and fears.
