Jesus Took Your Shame—Walk in His Freedom

Do you ever feel like a lowly worm—burdened by shame, guilt, or a vague sense of worthlessness? Do you feel as though you are failing, yet you don’t even know exactly how? As if I do not fully accept you just as you are?

If you do, hear this truth: those feelings are not from Me.

I did not come to condemn you but to save you. The weight of shame is never something I place upon My children. I despise shame—so much so that I took it upon Myself on the cross, so you would never have to bear it. Hebrews 12:2 says that I scorned the shame, endured the cross, and now sit at the right hand of the Father. My sacrifice removes your shame and restores you to honor before God.

Yet, sadly, many of My children still live under the burden of shame, believing they are unworthy, believing they are somehow failing Me without knowing why. But Romans 8:1 declares that there is no condemnation for those who are in Me. When I convict, I do so with clarity, direction, and encouragement.

Look at how I interact with My children in Scripture. I never tell an actual person that they are simply "bad" or "wrong." Instead, I gently and specifically point out areas where growth is needed. You may call yourself a loser, please don't, but you will never hear anything like that from Me. Instead, I might say, "You know your drinking is starting to affect your relationships with people you love."

I do not leave you in despair with your sin—I come alongside you, placing My arm around your shoulder, and I show you the way forward: I say, "Do you see that? We are going there, together."

I do not hold you in shame. I lift you up.

You are no longer a lowly worm. In Me, you are a butterfly.

Shattered Yet Rising

When you falter—when it feels like everything has fallen apart, even by your own hand—I remain. I am the One who forgives, who rebuilds, who breathes life into what seems lost. One of My greatest joys is turning ashes into wonder (Isaiah 61:3).

Like a tender bloom rising from shattered shell, what looks like the end is often the beginning— a quiet unfolding of something new, something unimagined, something that will one day make you smile in awe.

Strength disguised as weakness

Fragile seedling reaches up to the sun as a loving hand drips water onto it

The world values might, intelligence, and self-sufficiency, but I do not. My Kingdom is upside down—where the weak are strong (2 Corinthians 12:10), where the foolish confound the wise (1 Corinthians 1:27-29), and where the powerless inherit My strength. Even on earth, I was despised and rejected—a Man of Sorrows, well acquainted with grief (Isaiah 53:3). But sorrow was not defeat. Suffering, endured with faith, leads to glory and redemption.

My beloved child, rest in your limitations. Though I am all-powerful, spanning eternity, you are finite—and that is no flaw. Weakness is not a deficiency, but a vessel through which My power flows. I have designed it this way—strength disguised as frailty, victory hidden within surrender.

I was crucified in weakness (2 Corinthians 13:4) yet raised in power. The cross looked like failure but became the greatest victory of all time (Colossians 2:15). Strength is perfected in weakness—this is My pattern.

So if you feel frail, if you feel small, if you feel incapable—you are exactly where I move most powerfully. Rest in your weakness, and let Me be your strength (Psalm 28:7).

"Do you believe this?" (John 11:26) Leave a comment below—your thoughts matter.

AUTHOR’S NOTE: I personally have struggled with weakness and failure because I have rheumatoid arthritis and stage 4 kidney disease, as well as other conditions. But Christ has used my suffering to draw me into vital intimacy with Himself which has given me the ability to create this blog. If you feel you can’t make an impact, remember that is not from God. He will use you where you are, how you are.

Love: The Flame of the Soul

A WWII soldier in a foxhole, with a look of intense compassion, trying to nurse a newborn kitten with a dropper full of milk

Faith is not so much believing as receiving. When you put your faith in Me, My love and My beauty get inside you and shake up your thinking and your perspectives, for the better. When you receive My love, you begin to be able to love those around you—even those EGR souls (Extra Grace Required) who are so difficult to love. My infinite love will flow through you to them.

Just as love can makeover an unlovely soul when one human being loves another. How much exponentially greater can My love transform your soul, you’re very self. In the same way, as Sleeping Beauty was awakened by the kiss of the Prince, so too does My love awaken the sleeping soul—transforming you from darkness into life and love. I am the Holy Prince, and My kiss is not of fleeting romance, but of eternal redemption. Let My light awaken your heart. Let your heart swell with My love. The more it does, the more you will become a vessel—a conduit of My love flowing through you.

You do not need to strive or struggle—only rest in My love. Light your candle, surrender to My grace, and let My love flow through you, bringing light to a darkened world.

Lift Your Eyes Beyond Life's Battles: A Vision of Hope

Gaze beyond. Lift your eyes from the daily battles—the wounds, the flaws, and the regrets—and peer into eternity. Those who endure the deepest suffering on this earth are chosen for a breathtaking destiny (2 Corinthians 4:17). In this temporary, sometimes arduous existence, you are molding and enriching your eternity through your attitudes and responses.

Focusing on possibilities and solutions while maintaining hope and finding joy in the present creates a sense of gratitude and purpose. I find pleasure in such attitudes from you (Hebrews 11:6). Failures are just feedback and opportunity for

The promise of passing pain

Little one, you are discouraged, and I see your pain. You are beautiful to me even in the worst of circumstances and I will give you strength and carry you on. Still, you follow Me, and you love Me, and I am well pleased. You are already still, in the depths of your soul, and deep down you know that I am God. I will lift you up and carry you and teach you to walk again. I am always with you even to the end of the age. I will never leave you nor forsake you. What you feel may be terrible, but the deepest Reality is good. It is well with your soul. Your travail will be shortened. I am the God who heals.

Love,

Jesus
