Your Resurrection Identity

Do you know that when you gave Me your heart, you became a completely different person? The old, sinful self was removed from your spirit by My blood, and you were given a completely new identity.

As I promised in Ezekiel 36:26: “I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh.”

You may remember the Scripture that says, “The heart is deceitful above all things” (Jeremiah 17:9). But that deceitful heart is the heart of stone — the one I have taken away. Its removal is as certain as the stone rolled away from My tomb, revealing My resurrected life.

It is no longer who you really are. For at your core, you are now the righteousness of God in Christ (2 Corinthians 5:21).

Yes, you still wrestle with the remnants of that old heart and the wrong desires it tries to stir. But it no longer lives in your spirit. Paul describes that inner conflict, and he makes the same distinction:

“Now if I do what I do not want to do, it is no longer I who do it, but sin living in me … For in my inner being I delight in God’s law … I myself in my mind am a slave to God’s law” (Romans 7:20, 22, 25).

Paul is not avoiding responsibility here. No! He is making a differentiation in identity. He knew that his true self delighted in what is right. You are responsible for the wrong things you do, but they are no longer who you are. Your sin nature is outside your true self. And when I look at you, I see the good.

My grace is not something you reach for. It is something you already hold.

When Selfishness is Good

           

 
My beloved, I know your heart. I know that even your most generous acts often carry hidden longings—for approval, for purpose, for love. And I do not condemn you for this. I created you with desire. I shaped you to seek.

Even when you obey Me, there is still something in it for you—a sense of peace, a hope for reward, a longing to please. But do not be ashamed of this. What you call selfishness, I call hunger. It is part of the way I designed you to be. And I am not offended by your hunger when you bring it to Me.

When you gave your life to Me, I began the quiet work of reshaping your motives—not to erase your desires, but to redeem them. I mean for you to be motivated by, even greedy for, heavenly rewards. I do not ask you to stamp out your longing. I ask you to let Me increase it.

Jesus Took Your Shame—Walk in His Freedom

Do you ever feel like a lowly worm—burdened by shame, guilt, or a vague sense of worthlessness? Do you feel as though you are failing, yet you don’t even know exactly how? As if I do not fully accept you just as you are?

If you do, hear this truth: those feelings are not from Me.

Look at how I interact with My children in Scripture. I never tell an actual person that they are simply "bad" or "wrong." Instead, I gently and specifically point out areas where growth is needed. You may call yourself a loser, please don't, but you will never hear anything like that from Me. Instead, I might say, "You know your drinking is starting to affect your relationships with people you love," or "When you compare yourself to Ashley your looking for your worth in the wrong place."

Shattered Yet Rising

When you falter—when it feels like everything has fallen apart, even by your own hand—I remain. I am the One who forgives, who rebuilds, who breathes life into what seems lost. One of My greatest joys is turning ashes into wonder (Isaiah 61:3).

Like a tender bloom rising from shattered shell, what looks like the end is often the beginning— a quiet unfolding of something new, something unimagined, something that will one day make you smile in awe.

Break Free: From Caterpillar Soup to Rainbow Wings

Have you ever felt as if your life had become liquified, messy, utterly unrecognizable. It's when disaster feels like too polite a word. When everything you thought you knew dissolves into a thick, swirling dread. But even in that swirling, soupy chaos, something miraculous is happening. Renewal isn't just on the way; it's already at work. And I am there, right in the thick of it, stirring the pot.

The righteous man may have many troubles, but the Lord delivers him from them all (Psalm 34:19). Note, it says ALL. It's not just a nice sentiment; it's a promise I keep.

Think about the butterfly; that incredible, impossible transformation. It’s a perfect picture of what I do. The caterpillar doesn't just sprout wings; it goes through a radical, almost violent, breakdown. It actually becomes a liquified worm. But within that “caterpillar soup,” there are a few remaining particles, core pieces that refuse to be destroyed.
