Called Into the Quiet Depths

A solitary campfire glows on a rocky shore, its warm light contrasting with the vast Milky Way shimmering across the night sky.

I do not seek a shallow connection with you.

I draw you into the depths — into the quiet, hidden places of your own soul where truth lives and wounds surface and longing becomes honest.
It is there, in that sacred interior space, that I invite you to let Me enter.

Open your heart wide to Me.
Do not hold back what feels fragile or unworthy.
I know every corner of who you are, and still I call you closer.

Though I am the Almighty — the One who spoke galaxies into being — I remain gentle with My children.

Face to Face

An older man and woman stand outdoors with their foreheads touching as one gently holds the other’s face, sharing a quiet moment of tenderness in warm sunlight.

When you search for Me, I am not far away. When you look for Me in the distance, you look right past Me. Once you placed your faith in Me, the chasm that once separated us disappeared. I crossed it — I removed it. Nothing stands between us now.

I am always right here — face to face with you — closer than the air around you, even dwelling within you. You do not need to reach across miles of silence to find Me. You do not need to strain or strive. My nearness is already yours.

I speak with you “face to face, as a man talks with his friend” (Exodus 33:11). So turn your gaze from the horizon and simply look toward Me. I am here.

With love beyond measure,

Jesus

A Recipe for Bearing Fruit

A close-up of a ripe peach resting on a wet surface, covered in soft raindrops. Water beads on its skin and leaves, and blurred falling rain fills the background, giving the image a fresh, natural, and life‑filled atmosphere.

Sink gently into the present moment where I am.

I call Myself the Great I AM — not the Great I Was or the Great I Will Be. The present moment is the clearest place to meet Me.

Breathe naturally and observe.

Notice what you sense through hearing, touch, and smell. Let your awareness be soft and without judgment, because evaluating pulls you into the noise of the mind — and My Spirit speaks in quietness.

Now observe with your spirit My ever‑present love.

I dwell within you whether you walk in darkness or in light (Psalm 139:11–12). My nearness does not waver.

God Wants More Than Your Checklist

Close-up of a spiral seashell on a sandy beach with small pebbles, lit by warm sunlight, with soft ocean waves in the background.

I don’t want a religious checklist from you — I want a love relationship. I want you to walk with Me through your day, to turn toward Me in the ordinary moments. Your love is like a drink of cold water to Me and gives me deep joy. Take joy also in Me.

My presence is meant to be a deep relief to you, a joy that steadies and satisfies. I genuinely like you as a friend. I give you my deepest affection. And you can love Me back because I first loved you (1 John 4:19).

This love relationship is what I desire from you. Because you love Me, you often serve Me, but service is not what I want from you. Praying or serving others is not more holy than brushing your teeth, changing a diaper, or giving a presentation at work. My blood has already made your whole life holy. So don’t strive to impress Me or feel guilty when you’re not doing something “spiritual.”

Rejoice in the abundant life I’ve given you. Delight in Me, your Hero.

Drink deeply of the pleasures of this God.

Experience for yourself the joyous mercies

he gives to all who turn to hide themselves in him.

~ Psalm 34:8  TPT

Hidden in the Cleft of His Wounds

Sunset seen from within a narrow rock opening.

I hid Moses in the cleft of the rock because he could not see My face (Exodus 33:20–22).

But you are hidden in the cleft of My wounds, completely surrounded by Me, because you can see My face.

When the world is too much…

When the pain is unbearable…

Escape into our love relationship — hide in the acceptance of My enveloping love and adoration.

Pour out your heart to Me, face to face, as a person speaks to his friend (Exodus 33:11; Psalm 62:8).

With love beyond measure,

Jesus

Soul to Soul With God

Hands cupping a glowing light with small spark-like particles

I share your feelings — your sorrow, your grief, your anxiety.

When you are depressed, I am present with you.
When you are angry, I bear it with you.
When you are discouraged, I remain at your side.

Soul to Soul,
Brother to Brother,
Friend to Friend,

I feel what you feel.

Having overcome weakness,
I draw you up with Me into glory.

My grace, reaching out to you fills you with
joy,
delight,
sweetness,
and beauty.

I am your Lord, your brother, and your closest friend.

With love beyond measure,

Jesus

God has a Human Heart

Close-up of an older person’s face with a tear on their cheek, looking upward

I am infinite—almighty, all‑powerful—yet at the same time, I have a human heart. I feel what you feel: love, joy, grief, anger. I am not distant from your emotions or untouched by your pain. I enter into it with you. I understand every feeling, and My compassion moves toward your grief and your struggles.

None of your emotions are wrong. Sometimes the thoughts beneath them may mislead you, but the feelings themselves are not failures. You don’t need to express every emotion outwardly, yet you do need to release shame and allow your heart to move as it was designed. You were created in My image. We are more alike than you imagine.

Know this: I am with you—closer than the air you breathe—feeling what you feel, steady with comfort, present with love.

With love beyond measure,

Jesus

Nearer Than Water, Nearer Than Breath

Immerse yourself in the quiet beauty of coral reefs as Scripture whispers a deeper truth: you are surrounded, held, and sustained by the God who is closer than your own breath.

This short meditation pairs peaceful underwater scenes with a reminder from Acts 17:28 — “In Him we live and move and have our being.”

Let these moments draw you into stillness, comfort, and the steady love that never leaves.

With love beyond measure,

Jesus

About the Author

Cyndi is a Christian writer with a heart for grace and freedom in Christ. Through fresh reflections and scripture‑rooted devotionals, she invites readers into rest and relationship. She longs for those who see themselves only as “sinners saved by grace” to know they are truly good in Christ, and for those who strive and battle, to hear that the fight is finished. Her writing is shaped by the promise from Isaiah 40:1–2 — God’s call to “Comfort, comfort My people with gentle, compassionate words. Speak tenderly from the heart to revive those in shame, and proclaim that their warfare is over. Their debt of sin is paid for, and they will not be treated as guilty. Prophesy to them that they have received from the hand of God twice as many blessings as all their sins” (paraphrase from TPT). She lives in Florida with her husband of 37 years and their dog, Smudge.
