A Recipe for Bearing Fruit

A close-up of a ripe peach resting on a wet surface, covered in soft raindrops. Water beads on its skin and leaves, and blurred falling rain fills the background, giving the image a fresh, natural, and life‑filled atmosphere.

Sink gently into the present moment where I am.

I call Myself the Great I AM — not the Great I Was or the Great I Will Be. The present moment is the clearest place to meet Me.

Breathe naturally and observe.

Notice what you sense through hearing, touch, and smell. Let your awareness be soft and without judgment, because evaluating pulls you into the noise of the mind — and My Spirit speaks in quietness.

Now observe with your spirit My ever‑present love.

I dwell within you whether you walk in darkness or in light (Psalm 139:11–12). My nearness does not waver.

Sense the rhythm of your surroundings.

Let nature’s gentle pace steady you. Align yourself with My tempo, keeping in step with My Spirit as you pray, rise, and move through your day (Galatians 5:25).

Hold your spirit in an attitude of listening.

Rest in quiet expectancy for what I will whisper to your heart (Isaiah 30:15–21). Listening is a form of abiding.

All these things are abiding in Me.

And I promise that as you abide, I will grow in you the fruits of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, gentleness, and self‑control (Galatians 5:21). These are not burdens for you to produce — they are gifts I cultivate within you.

With love beyond measure,

Jesus

Cyndi is a Christian writer with a heart for grace and freedom in Christ. Through fresh reflections and scripture‑rooted devotionals, she invites readers into rest and relationship. She longs for those who see themselves only as “sinners saved by grace” to know they are truly good in Christ, and for those who strive and battle, to hear that the fight is finished. Her writing is shaped by the promise from Isaiah 40:1–2 — God’s call to “Comfort, comfort My people with gentle, compassionate words. Speak tenderly from the heart to revive those in shame, and proclaim that their warfare is over. Their debt of sin is paid for, and they will not be treated as guilty. Prophesy to them that they have received from the hand of God twice as many blessings as all their sins” (paraphrase from TPT). She lives in Florida with her husband of 37 years and their dog, Smudge.
