Rooted in Eternity: The Call That Endures

I have called you from ancient times and I have given you My Own Heart. Nothing can ever take these away. “No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord” (Romans 8:39)

With love beyond measure,

Jesus

It's Easier to Guide a Sheep That's Moving

Illustration of a shepherd gently guiding a sheep, emphasizing movement and direction as part of decision-making and faith. The sheep represents individuals seeking guidance, while the shepherd symbolizes a supportive presence

Imagine a sheep lying on all fours, completely still. You can try pushing, poking, rolling it over, or even picking it up putting it on your shoulders, but it takes a lot of effort to get that sheep up and moving. Now, picture a sheep that’s already walking. A gentle nudge to the right or left is all it takes to guide it in the direction you want it to go.

In much the same way, when you're seeking direction for your life, it helps to take a baby step forward rather than waiting passively. Movement allows for guidance, one small nudge at a time, leading you toward the best path. This approach doesn’t require a grand or miraculous revelation—just a willingness to stand up and start moving.

For example, if you’re seeking clarity about finding a life partner, consider this: staying home, praying, and hoping your future spouse will miraculously find you might not be the most effective approach. Instead, venture out into the world. Meet new people, explore new experiences, or join a community group. By moving and taking action, you create opportunities for guidance—an open door, a chance meeting, or an unexpected connection that directs you toward the right person.

This principle applies to other aspects of life as well. Whether you’re making career decisions, pursuing creative endeavors, or discovering your purpose, taking small steps opens the way for guidance. When you're moving, it’s easier to adjust course as needed, one gentle nudge at a time.

So, don’t be afraid to take that first step, even if it feels small. Trust that you’ll hear the voice behind you whispering, “This is the way; walk in it.”

“Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, ‘This is the way; walk in it.’” – Isaiah 30:21 (NIV)

How to Move a Mountain with a Mustard Seed

Do you bemoan your lack of faith? Are you trying to muster it up but find yourself still full of doubts?

Life brings mountainous challenges that can feel too difficult to climb. Whether it's a troubled marriage, an illness, or a financial difficulty, you can become overwhelmed and feel powerless..

Faith is not the absence of doubt. Instead, imagine the faith you think you need, and take 5% of that. It is all I require. That tiny “mustard seed” of faith can grow into something magnificent. It is what moves mountains (Matthew 17:20). Faith is not about size but sincerity.

Even the smallest seed of faith can grow into something magnificent. Every step, no matter how small, is a step toward moving that mountain. Your tiny faith is powerful enough to change the world.

"…If you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you" (Matthew 17:20).

Please leave a comment below on your experience with faith or doubt.

With love beyond measure,

Jesus

Lift Your Eyes Beyond Life's Battles: A Vision of Hope

Gaze beyond. Lift your eyes from the daily battles—the wounds, the flaws, and the regrets—and peer into eternity. Those who endure the deepest suffering on this earth are chosen for a breathtaking destiny (2 Corinthians 4:17). In this temporary, sometimes arduous existence, you are molding and enriching your eternity through your attitudes and responses.

Focusing on possibilities and solutions while maintaining hope and finding joy in the present creates a sense of gratitude and purpose. I find pleasure in such attitudes from you (Hebrews 11:6). Failures are just feedback and opportunity for growth.

In the midst of failures or trials, be kind to yourself. Then ask: “What can I learn from this? or “Is there a silver lining here?” Being long-sighted shifts your perspective to growth rather than frustration.

Imagine your future with hope and excitement. In that eternal tomorrow, there will be only boundless joy, endless delight, and everlasting beauty. “For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope” (Jeremiah 29:11).

"For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all” (2 Corinthians 4:17 - NIV).

With love beyond measure,

Jesus
