The Vulnerability and Humanity of Jesus

I have been vulnerable. Fully human. 

I am able to feel with you in every frailty — every limitation, every place where your humanity feels thin — because I stepped into the full weight of human weakness without ever stepping into sin.

I have been tired. I have been hungry. I have been emotionally stretched.

I know the pull of temptation and the fragility of soul.

I have felt the overwhelm that makes you wonder if you are enough.

I, Jesus — God Almighty — am also fully human.

I have felt what you feel.

So when you sense your own weakness, when you feel less‑than or worn‑through, know this: I truly understand, because I have felt those same human feelings Myself.

He humbled Himself and took the sorrows of those who knew nothing and were lost, for He was also clothed in frailty [humanity].
