My beloved, you have embraced My command to love others, showing patience, kindness, and care to your neighbors. But I want you to savor the fruits of the Spirit for yourself, like a sweet slice of watermelon. My gifts—love, joy, and kindness—nourish both you and those around you. Love must include yourself.
The world is full of My creation, and as one of My magnificent creations (Psalm 139:14), you hold infinite value because you are made by an infinite and loving God. You are precious to Me, more than you can imagine. Every creature, everything I have made, deserves love, care, and respect—including you. When I commanded you to love your neighbor, I said, "as yourself" (Mark 12:31). Do not miss this truth: I long for you to love yourself as deeply and tenderly as you love others.
My Holy Spirit pours into your heart the fruits of the Spirit: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control (Galatians 5:22-23). These fruits are My gift to you—a way of living that reflects My heart. The fruits of the Spirit are not just for others; they are for you, too. You are My masterpiece, fearfully and wonderfully made (Ephesians 2:10). To love yourself is not selfish—it is to embrace the beautiful truth of how I see you. It is not only about how I see you but about who you are—the good person I have made you to be (Ephesians 4:24). Cherish the wisdom and worth I have placed within you, for to do so is to honor Me (Proverbs 19:8).
I know that you may wrestle with the idea of treating yourself with love and respect, fearing it is selfish or wrong. But hear Me: such an idea could not be further from the truth. No, dear one, that is not what I want for you. I call you to kindness toward yourself, to patience, to gentleness. Speak tenderly to your own heart. Treat yourself as I treat you—with love that never fails and care that never ends. Love your neighbor, yes, but never exclude yourself from that love. You are My beloved, and I delight in you.
